Today's date in the blue timeline will be colored orange. When hovering today's date an orange line will appear in the grid.

You can choose to shade the weekend days.


Or you can choose to hide them.
Say Saturday and Sunday are weekend days.

If you choose to include weekend days:
- copy parts of this schedule to another schedule and a week will consist of 7 days
- copy 7 days into this schedule you will get one week

If you choose to exclude weekend days:
- copy parts of this schedule to another schedule and a week will consist of 5 days
- copy 7 days into this schedule you will get one and a half week
Say Saturday and Sunday are weekend days.


If you choose to include weekend days the month January will consist of 31 days.


If you chose to exclude them it will typically consist of 22 days.

The reference date line is the black vertical line that hovers above the grid.



For example: this line can represent a deadline in your project or your current progress.
A pattern will appear in the header of each collapsed group matching the planned activities in that group.

Copy & Paste cells from Excel, Numbers or any other spreadsheet application into Tom's Planner.
Tables in Word or Web Pages
If the author has formatted the tables correctly you can copy & paste almost any table into Tom's Planner.
CSV
Import CSV files from other applications into Tom's Planner (Google Calendar, iCal).
JSON
Use json files for local backups or if you are a developer and want to build upon Tom's Planner

Microsoft Project
Results in an xml file which can be imported into Microsoft project 2003 and the more recent
versions.
Excel
File can be opened with Excel and most other modern spreadsheet applications (more info).
CSV
Export your data to CSV to be able to import it in other applications (more info).
JSON
Use json files for local backups or if you are a developer and want to built upon Tom's Planner (more info).
Image
Include your schedule in reports, presentations and webpages or email it to others.
PDF
This is the best option if you want to print your schedule (and stick it up the wall).
